Pre Menstrual Syndrome
It usually occurs 3 to 4 days before a girl/woman starts her period. She may be irritable, achy, have cramps, or bloating, lower back pain, or cravings for sweets. Or she may have none of the above. It really differs per woman.
And just a hint to the men out there -- it's really low to say "WOW, someone *must* be PMSing!" everytime a woman gets upset. We don't have PMS 24/7. Maybe you just screwed up.

PMS = Pre-Menstrual Syndrome.
The week before a woman menstruates (goes on her period), her body undergoes a hormonal surge which may cause a variety of symptoms, including bloating (water retention), abdominal cramps, headaches, irritability, and mood swings. These symptoms can be mild or severe and come in any combination.
Generally when someone says a woman is PMSing, it means she's cranky and overreacting. It's generally best to be sympathetic and kind to anyone who is PMSing.

PMS stands for Pre Menstrual Syndrome. Just before a period (up to ten days before) there is a flip in her hormone levels. This is to sustain a pregnancy should her egg be fertile.
If no egg is fertile, she starts her period and the hormone flips back again.
Now as you can imagine, all this hormone flipping can create mood swings and emotional outbursts. Some woman suffer from PMS so badly, they become a Jekyll and Hyde character! Really, no laughing matter. However, most women just get a bit tearful and emotional. It is a stressful time and men are well advised to be aware when a woman says she has PMS....after all, she has warned you!!!

It means she's experiencing pre-menstrual symptoms, such as bloating, irritability, cramping, headaches or nausea. There are a number of symptoms that go along with PMS - some people even suffer from migraines during their pre-menstrual stage.

pre menstrual symptoms or something like that..
it basically means that you get really moody, and you have cramps, bloating, and fatique. it doesn't last to long because once you get your period your back to being normal again. its basically a warning that says, "YOUR ABOUT TO GET YOUR PERIOD REALLLL SOOOOOONNNNN!"
so don't ignore it!
