America= starts small, gets big (house number,street, city, state, zip)
Japan = starts big, gets small (zip, prefecture, town, (cho, ku, gun, etc), house number )
Japanese address format is opposite of ours in the States.
You would start off with your postal code, then the name of the
city, then the ku (if one exists), then the cho (if one exists), then the house number. Since you're ordering from Amazon in Japan, it's assumed you are ordering from inside Japan.
Your order would be:
Postal code
Chiba ken, Shiroi-shi,
Nanatugi-dai, x-xx-x
They should tell you where to put what. Can you read japanese?
郵便番号=postal code
県=prefecture
市=city
七次台- nanatsugi-dai

I think once you type in your country the form should switch over.
Postal code would be included under zip code. Chiba would be the prefecture (or state), Everything before that on address line 1 and if you need more space, line two.

As people have mentioned, turn on English ordering. The alternative is to do it in Japanese, which is sort of upside down from a US perspective:
Postal Code Prefecture
City
Street
Your name

If you still don't know the answer, email to their customer service. Japanese Amazon is pretty good at responding to your emails. I've emailed them twice before and got detailed response back within a day, both times.

I had the same question about which order to list the city & block/building on Address Lines 1 & Line 2. None of these answers seem aware of Amazon.co.jp format for a domestic (Japanese) address with English language turned on.
The address form s format order is: Name / Postal Code (separate 3 & 4 digit boxes) / Prefecture (drop down menu) / Address Line 1 / Address Line 2 (Optional) / Company Name (Optional) / Phone Number.
So the question is: Is the city listed in Line 1, and the specific address in Line 2, or vise versa? I m assuming we stick to the Japanese Large to Small format, and go with City 1st, then building# 2nd.

I assume you've turned on English ordering for amazon.co.jp? If so, enter your address one line at a time in the Western order, just as you've posted here.

Just enter your information in as you normally would.
For example:
Name of place (if your building or area has a name), x-xx-x, Nanatugi-dai
Shiroi-shi, Chiba-ken
Postal code
Japan
