Why should you NOT be angry...at things...at people's replies...at society's complacency, at government's stupidity and misrepresentations...what's wrong with that?
It shows you care and that you are passionate about your beliefs as far as I'm concerned.
Some people need to be smacked across the head (figuratively speaking) before the cobwebs can be shaken from their unused brains don't you think?
Anger is a sign that something is wrong...not with the individual but with the environment around that individual.
Think about it...do you agree?
And if so...do you try to do something to change that environment, or just carry on whining?

Well I must say I can tell that everyone has been sincere with thier replies which is a refreshing change.
I think people sometimes confuse anger and hate. This misread anger for being hate.
Someone once said that anger is love wronged, and I think it's also true to say that anger is RIGHT wronged.
I think many feel the world is no longer "right".
We can't let what we need to survive (emotionally and physically) dwindle away, and pretend that everything is ok.
Every human being on this planet has a right to exist and be.
The time has come for major change. To deny it is really not even a choice anymore. It's now or never because otherwise it's going to be too late.
People need to stop fussing with the stupid and trivial things in life and focus on the essentials.

I agree, but you can't knock sense into some people that never had any in the first place.
I pick my battles, and rarely lose my temper.

Politics are always a heated subject whether you believe in them or you don't. I personally have never met someone who told me to never voice my opinion and I think it's extremely important to let your beliefs/ethics be known. In my eyes, that's having a positive impact on the mindsets of men and women, elderly and children all around you. Although a person's atmosphere may dictate how they react/think/feel, there is the question of "what is truly normal behavior?" Do you understand what I mean when I say that? One person's idea of normal could be the complete opposite of another's. Like I said before, I do believe that politics are things needed to be discussed by citizens and holders of high governmental positions. Consequently, I also feel the urge to "smack [people] across the head," as much as you do, however, the United States has many more problems at hand than dealing with the unpatriotic imbisules who can't think for themselves and feel the need to interject with their opinions ABOUT our political opinions. It is important to change the environment of the ignorant, but a gentle way of handling that needs to come into play. Brain washing is a way to deal with changing environments (just like Hitler) and propaganda is another way (again...like Hitler). America, when it is fit with a decent president, will find the answer to your question about society's conplatency. I would love to give you the answer to that last question, subsequently, I don't know what the answer is. Even if I had an idea of what it would be, I would keep my mouth shut just the same in order to not give you the wrong one.

I'm getting the impression that there are quite a few people who come in here just to take shots at others and really don't know enough to be angry.
I have gone to capital hill and spoken with my senator's and congress people's staff about issues I was concerned about, Every year I go to the state house and senate and speak to my representatives about issues I am concerned about. (In my state they only convene for 30 days once per year).
Anger is a good thing if we did not get angry nothing would change.

Complacency Is the number 1 offender I think.
and as for those asinine polls they don't mean diddly because they never give a comparison such as
well the person who answered the poll question just so happens to consume 6 hot dogs a day
and so, based on that why would their opinion really count except for political expediancy?
It is indeed disgusting I agree
when we are less concerned with paris hilton and start focusing on the scumbags in Washington well, we may accomplish something then...

I think we should all be angry. Look at where this country is and look at where we have been. When Eisenhower was President the U.S. contained 7% of the population in the world and manufactured 50% of the products. Wouldn't it be nice to go back to that kind of economy? We have been lied to and taken advantage of. Personally if I am going to get screwed I would like to enjoy it. This country has been bought and sold to the highest bidder. Big corporations have changed our lives, our laws and our future, it is time for anger and more.

many people just become apathetic and complacent when they are too comfortable in life. Often it takes a crisis for them to get off their butts and try to make a change. Its the old status quo thing. You work to move up to the "Jones" level and when you get there you forget about the struggle and enjoy the benefits and let someone else care for a while. There is much passive-aggressive behaviour, I think, in this action.

I think its great to be angry, and I think that the people who are not angry are the cons. The only thing that makes a con angry is an empty wallet or abortion rights. Liberals have so much to be angry about because we want the world to be a better place.

Oh, but it is OK to be angry in what you believe in. Good political debates and decisions are what make our country great. Think, if we all agreed on everything all the time, how shallow and bland it would be. Everyone has a right to their opinion, no matter what other people think. I say stick to what you believe in and fight for what you think is right. And try to do something about, whatever your passion is.

I think it's because if certain people can disregard our anger as "far left" or "far right", then in their own minds everything can still be ok. I think it's the people who cannot deal with the reality of the situation who criticize others for being angry. They would rather tune out and ignore it . . .anger makes tuning out very difficult.

I'm not angry, because the world doesn't revolve around me. Besides, all that effort can just influence the world, but its not going to change the world completely. I rather enjoy life, and try to think positively. We live in a world of crime & corruption, but hey at least we are free, and that's all i'm concerned about.

Anger begets anger, and angry people don't look for ways to compromise. Politics is the art of compromise, of finding a way to meet in the middle.
One can be angry - but you can only show it in small doses or people will react badly.
