they dont think they did. none has ever been found, not a trace of horns or anything like it.

Primarily they did not wear horned helmets, the composer Richard Wagner's "The Valkyries" opera made horned Vikings the popular stereotype it is today.

They didn't! That's only in movies, comic books and in Minnesota. They wore plain old conical or round helmets, whatever would protect the head from nasty hits. Sometimes with nose guards, or nose and eye guards, but never with horns.
