Both Sachin and Brian are legends but the way Brian Lara carried his bat and won and defended so many mathces for his team, my vote goes for him as a better batsman. As a cricketer my vote goes for Sachin he is almost there with Lara as far as test batting goes, but in every other field from ODI-circus to bowling, fielding and mentoring he has performed much better than Prince Lara.

Apart from the records, I consider Sachin Tendulkar as better than Lara because he is technically more accomplished batsman than Lara. Further he is a utility bowler as well.

Sachin is a technically correct batsman. But Brian dominates the bowlers. Brian plays more aggressively than Sachin. Sachin earlier in his career played very aggressively but after certain time in his career he started playing more defensively. But Brian's batting style didn't change even at the end of his career. But still I would rate Sachin a bit higher than Brian.

Sachin tendulkar, because he is not only batsman he is also a bowler and a good fielder.
He is known as Master blaster for his batting and is known as Golden Arm Bowler.... I vote for Sachin Tendulkar.
