Well, Iran hasn't found an oil find that would supply the world for 500 years and we're still about to attack them. So to answer your question: If it happened today. Yes, Bush would bomb them.

Official: Iranian Weapons Intercepted on Way to Taliban

PARIS — The United States has "irrefutable" evidence that Iran is transferring weapons to the Taliban in Afghanistan, with the knowledge of the Iranian government, and NATO has intercepted some of the shipments, a senior U.S. diplomat said Wednesday.
"There's irrefutable evidence the Iranians are now doing this," said Undersecretary of State Nicholas Burns on CNN. "It's certainly coming from the government of Iran. It's coming from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard corps command, which is a basic unit of the Iranian government."
Speaking separately to The Associated Press, Burns also said that NATO needs to act to stop the shipments. The Iran-Afghanistan frontier is "a very long border. But the Iranians need to know that we are there and that we're going to oppose this."
"It's a very serious question," he said, adding that Iran is in "outright violation" of relevant U.N. Security Council resolutions"

I got news for you Iran is at odds with it's former Soviet bloc neighbors over Caspian Sea oil..it is one of the biggest reserves found..
Perhaps that has something to do with tomorrow's sanctions against Iranian entities..that you all will be screaming about soon

If the government and the American people was so concerned about our oil supply we would be drilling for oil in Alaska and off the coast of Florida. The people in Alaska want to drill but we in the lower 48 won't permit it and the Chinese are drilling off the coast of Florida but our people are not allowed to do the same thing. So maybe oil isn't a big deal after all and if so why would we go to war for it.

Most likely as america gets low on all kinds of supplies (even water one day) they will have no other choice than to go to war with all kinds of countries then the countries with the best fighters or most fighters will be left with all the remaining supplies as the rest of us die out kinda like how animals have to compete for things i guess
