Spiderman represents the impossibility of random chance and encounters which become reality that are immediatly meaningless, but are created into something tangible for the benefit of the greater good.
Batman represents what we could strive to become. An expert in many disciplines, successful and driven. He has acquired what he has through sheer effort and discipline. He is the pinnacle of human achievement. Outwitting his opponents and understanding them better than themselves. Yet, he is still only human.
While one is the genetic adjustment of a spider and has been given powers that he perhaps did not deserve he is a formidable champion of good. Yet, Batman represents all that we could become today, and an apex of our own development.
I would say Batman.

lol. My money is on batman. More money and willingness to put it to use. Expert training in various forms of combat and the ability to just charm the pants (shirt, skirt, etc.) off any woman he meets.
Spiderman has the wall crawling thing, the spidersense might give him an edge. He's still having trouble with getting with MJ.... when it comes down to it, all batman has to do is tell the batmobile to run him down on autopilot and Spiderman would have hard trouble.
I think a better question would be, Silver Surfer vs Batman who would win?

Spider- Man would kick batman's ***.... so the winner is Spider-Man.....
if you need more proof check the stats:
Spider-Man: shoots webbing, has spider-sense allowing him to sense danger, super speed and agility, can lift 10 tons, is intelligent beyond belief, and has a hot redhead girl.
Batman: has a belt with lots of gadgets, a sidekick named Robin, and is pretty damn smart.
Don't get me wrong I like Batman,but all that he can do is dull compared to i guy that can lift 10 tons and swing from webs.

Batman is better because he is just a man. No super powers, no special nothing, just a well trained man with a few toys, and alot of brains and discipline, at least i think so
