I got a few "no" answers to social groups I was trying to join. Various reasons like they were full, or they don't take new members. My heart says "This is rejection, you should be sad, scared, and angry."
My head says, "Keep trying. Maybe God has something better for you and doesn't want you to get second-best." Even if it is rejection, you must keep going.

Usually my heart has something to tell my head, but lately, my head has been telling my heart to get it's s*** together. Work harder, be more compassionate, patient and humble.
