i recently created a yahoo fantasy football league. i then went to 'browse leagues' to ensure that my league was among the hundreds already listed, but it wasn't. if i can't see my league there, how is anybody else going to see it and join? to my knowledge i didn't click anything like 'private league' or anything. why is everybody else's league there to be browsed and joined buy mine doesn't show up?

You need to go to Commisioner Tools and find the link that says "Publish League." Once you click on that you can check a box that says open to everyone which makes the league viewable and check no where it says restricted. You can also type in a message for the public to view telling them about settings or whatever you want them to see.

first, it's not instant....as the bloody note says, it takes some TIME for the league to appear...
second, there's a bajillion leagues...so if you did publish it then yes, it's in there. you need to get glasses and a watch...
