oh tell me about it, i put a bunch of those examples on my profile page, but yes its EXTREMELY frustrating and diminishes the 'glow' of this whole operation!

I don't care if they are on my contact list or not, all I care about is giving each individual points who I think has the best answer regardless of anything. If I can't decide the answer, I will let the community decide the answer for me since there are two or more good answers and I don't want to decide when others could get 1 point for choosing what they think is the best answer all together and I still get the 1 point for voting, too.

Yes it does. I run across that all the time on here. Even if someone else's answer was better it drives me nuts.

I always try to choose the actual best answer regardless of who it is from, though I'm sure sometimes people do give out best answers to their friends.

It is sad, and it makes you leery of answering any more of that person's questions, since it seems to be no more than a way to connect with their friends. Is it me, or is Yahoo Answers for answers??
