I wouldn't take up smoking anywhere. Ever. Especially on a deserted island where buying a pack of smokes would be impossible.

If it's deserted how would I get them?
I quit smoking when I was pregnant. I still crave the cr@p but I don't think I would even if I could get my hands on any on a deserted island.

Heck no! First off, it's bad for you and I'll never start a habit that I could not end whenever I wanted, especially a harmful one. And how the heck would anyone get cigarettes on a DESERTED ISLAND?! I suppose they could make them if they had some rat poison, tobacco, and paper... but WHY?!

No, it would be impossible to buy cigarettes, and it would be near impossible to grow my own tobacco, and then what? Roll my own using dried tobacco leafs?
