i don't think it will come back under the current circumstances. If Congress would fund it, I'm sure the military could raise another division or two, just lower standards a little.
Too many people still have a bad taste in their mouth from the last time we used the draft.

the public will not tolerate a war that requires a draft unless it is absolutely vital
we would have to be attacked by an established country on our own soil
I doubt that will happen anytime soon
I think that if Bush pushed for a draft he would be impeached within weeks

I think that we need to stick with the current system of a voluntary military. That's the way it is now and it is working. Why force people to fight for something that they don't believe in. I don't want to give the liberals anymore fuel to place on their anti-war fire.
