More info would help if you are trying to track down something you saw. I'm guessing Clematis also though. It is pronounced as if it were an A .It is a perennial flowering vine with a multitude of cultivars, each having striking, sometimes large, star pattern blooms. Colors vary but frequently fall from whites, pinks dark violets, variegated versions of those colors and more. Found across a huge zonal section, Clematis frequently draw admiration as well as inquiries into the name. That's my 2 cents...

Could be clematis? I know that has a different letter, but it is a very popular one. Often vines that bloom in a lot of different colors in spring and summer. There are a few that are perennial plants, not vines. Clarkia is the only other one that I can think of.
