As Terry G said I have done next to nothing on answers over 4 months and he has done ( apparantley) amazing things during his one month stint. I really would like to talk to some of you because I think we are on the same wave length but I don't know if I will fit in because I don't have this points issue thing!
I am not out to make points I just find this site very interesting and, occassionally i would like to 'talk' to someone about their answer or question.
I am a fairly new silver surfer and I really haven't a clue what I am doing most of the time. At least I can type so that's something I suppose

Tenacious.

A very GOOD word for you.

Poor Terry G didn't know what he started, nor who he started it with, now did he?

You are quite welcome to email me at any time. Just click on my picture, which will take you to my profile page. And then you just click on the line that says "Email Iritadragon". To be able to use this, though, you have to set up your profile to accept email from other users. That is the only way Yahoo Answers will forward mail from you.

As to the contacts thing, I don't bother. I tried doing it with just one other user, and these annoying lines kept on popping up interfering with the list of questions. I stood it for about a week before I went back into my profile and deleted my contact. Not because I don't like that person anymore, but just because the way Yahoo has it set up, it was ssssooooo annoying!!

Take care of yourself Susie Q. I look forward to hearing from you.

Okay, I thought about this, and I decided that I would retry the Contact stuff myself. So I have chosen my family as contacts and you and one other. I hope you notice my niece's ID, who goes by the username Suzie Q.

When ever you share information it is worth it, either in question or answer form.
You can type? Wow! I fumble along myself. Use seek and ye sall find method.
Don't know about the wave length thing and don't worry about the points-that is just for folks who feel they have to be the leaders of the pack.
Ask or answer away as you see fit and disreguard the wise cracks-cause you will get them from time to time.
And yes! Seniors from high school aslo visit this site and it's great fun to have them. Bridge a gap and share the knowledge.
Welcome aboard!

Welcome to the senior section !
The best thing about YA is that you can decide whether you want to reveal your identity, interact directly with some through email, even meet up ( I recently found some member has taken the initiative to make that possible) or remain the anonymous faceless identity that you have assumed. The choice is entirely yours. And for sure you don't have to come here on a regular basis - you do it only when you please. Most of us don't care about points, it is only incidental. You do feel happy when you get a best answer but there is no heartbreak either if you don't. As for me, I take it as my window to the world, now that the actual global travels of the traveller have virtually ceased. And it is fun knowing all of you.
Happy surfing !

Hi just added you to my contact list so keep in touch. Like yourself I am not sure about what I am doing most of the time but it's never to late to learn and there is so much to learn about how to use the computer.
To make points you answer questions or give advice to
what you know and if your answer is chosen you get points
If you go on help at the top right of yahoo answers it will tell you how to get points etc on yahoo answers.
Nice to chat to you and keep surfing
Tina

Hi,

Hi Susie, Of course you fit ! I'm putting you in my contacts list
right now, you are very welcome to mail me for a chat on any subject. I can't promise to mail you long replies cos my contacts seem to be growing, and I still have my private mail box to attend to as well.
I've chosen some of my contacts because I've read their 360 profile and we have things in common. So if you look on those maybe you will build your list up. Sorry you won't find one for me. I'm to busy to make one! lol x

That advance into genuinely surprising! i've got had an exceptionally rubbish day, crowned off with a great instantaneous high-quality, for pulling out of a food market vehicle park, and not donning my seat belt, " i advance into very virtually to place it on ". besides your shaggy dog tale extremely made me snigger out loud, so thank you for cheering me up! Have a megastar!!

Well it depends on what you want to get out of this site. If you want friends, then yes contacts matter, however if you are here just for answers then not so much
