We won't if there isn't one, and there isn't one.

There is no 'meaning' and any answer is completely unnecessary to live this life you continue to pursue a meaning for.
What will a meaning do to help you live? Pretend that the meaning is to give your life for another today then by adhering you will die today. You would never do what that 'meaning' of life told you. You would drop it and keep looking for another.
The 'search' is all you are interested in. Not the answer.
Drop the search and live.

I see most answers have indicated there is no meaning. This is the position of those who reject God for meaning follows purpose and without God we have no purpose and therefore no meaning:
“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (noted mathematician, philosopher and atheist)
But even those who say there is no meaning will tell a different story in a different setting. They will say something like, "I want to make a difference in the world" or "leave the world a better place". We all have to have a purpose because it gives us worth and we all need to feel that our lives have worth.

The meaning of life is different for everyone. Maybe the meaning of life for some is having a family and growing old with the one they love. For someone else it can be being successful at business, money, education, etc. You hold the meaning of life within yourself; maybe it’s to be filthy rich or maybe it’s making a difference, what ever it is I hope you recognize it when you reach it.

If you keep watching late night infomercials and read bumper stickers, I'm sure the meaning will eventually become apparent for you.
Or you could discover that , other than the necessities of your biology as a species ( to procreate), there really is no absolute meaning other than the one you create.

Maybe it is just what we do from the beginnings of human civilizations - exploring. Exploring of everything. That's what we do isn't it? Asking questions and trying to find out the answers.

The meaning of life is personal, and everyone can find it, but its unique to them. The meaning of my life is to spread sunshine when I can and treat the ones I love like I love them-now, not after they're dead.
