I would go with "D" on this one.
The Treaty of Versailles left Germany economically devastated, and defenseless, and deeply mired in a depression.
Hitler's "National Socialists Party" (the Nazi's) played to the fears of the working class ...including using the Jews as a scapegoat to blame all of Germany's problems on.
Hitler's speeches were very emotional and powerful, and he soon became a favorite speaker...but once he became elected Chancellor of Germany, he used his power to get rid of all his opposition...thus paving the way to his dictatorship.

i'm thinking A. i remember my professor mentioning that they printed so many german marcks that people had to have a wheelbarrel full of paper marcks just buy a loaf of bread. that's why they asked us (USA) for a loan.
