Try YOGA! It helps the body and the sould. It does wonders for stress and depresion.

Stop drinking caffeine and alcohol. It will give you insomnia.

Get a puppy. That will cheer you up

EXCERSISE!!!

Visit old friends and family

Reconect with yourself. What did you like doing in school? Do you play an instrument? Do you paint? Crotchet? Play softball??

Volunteeer. Do something with your time so you stop dwelling into to painful memories

Go back to school. take evening clases,

I hope this helps

Good luck

What you are doing is called ruminating. Medication can ease the symptoms, but talk therapy (counseling) is what you need. It will validate your positive feelings, help you see another way to look at negative ones and help you put the bad behind you. At least so it doesn't hurt so much.
In the meantime, try exercising, filling your day with activity, and reading either self help books or romance novels or anything else that strikes your fancy, but isn't negative, depressing or close to your experiences.
Whatever is good, focus on that. Prayers helps too. You can beat this! Ask God to help you.

Something called phychocyberntics helps me. Especially when it's time to sleep and the mind won't shut down.
Start with each part of your body parts, one foot, then the other, work to your legs, one atta time. Think strongly of very light or very heavy. Heavy works for me, sinking into the bed.
I have never gotten to my head. I wind up falling asleep. Which of course is the goal. It's simply mind over matter. And if your mind is strong enough to disturb you. It should be able to relax you as well. When a negative thought slips in (and it will) go back to positive concentration. I firmly believe one is able to do anything, if desire is strong enough.
Good Luck! ;)

Lots of times people worry about things that never end up happening and worry about **** that happened years ago. You cannot control everything in life. Relax, tomorrow will take care of itself. Listen to music, read a book, go for a walk, etc. Worry, stress, etc. will get the best of you but only if you let it.

Go talk to your doctor. There are some great antidepressants out there. There is no shame in asking for help.

talk to your doctor and see if he can recommend anything even a therapist. have hubby go to for moral support if you want. talk to him lots too and let him know that you just need someone to say things to to help you feel less stressed.

breathe deeply.. eat right... do exercise.. meditate... sleep well...

study philosophy.. be humble... compassionate.. reasonable...

hold my hand...

everything will be ok!

You most likely won't need no meds, don't let nobody believe you do unless its a professional.
