What is this rubbish? Give that pinko teacher of yours a kick in the butt!
Of course the Bolshevik foreign policy wasn't peaceful. They believed in world revolution. The treaty of Brest-Litovsk was a cynical tactical move designed to give them a breathing space.
They didn't 'Give the Germans a portion of Russian territory'. The Germans had it already.
