And other classic country artist fans -- do you like when old artists sing with new(er) artists? LIke Willie Nelson with Toby Keith, and Merle with Gretchen Wilson? I wish more would do things like that...

I do but what I love even more is when I see a newer artsist pay special tribute to an artist they were inspired by and actually do justice to them. I remember years ago when Randy Travis was still fairly new and he did a tribute with George Jones. It was really endearing. It is nice to to them appreciate the people that drew them in and then to see that the artist themselves has some respect for them also.

This is going a little off your question but two I have tow videos that I like that pay special tribute which are

Alan Jackson's tribute to Hank WIlliams singing The Blues Man

and
Josh Turner and Randy Jackson singing "King Of The Road" a tribute to Roger Miller

I think it' OK live, or for a TV show, but I really don't enjoy it on a recording to buy, it's kind of Corney or something too me, I can't explain it, Like I said it's o.k., and sometimes it does come off right, but far fewer times than real successes , at least to my ears. I like Buck Owens and Dwight Yoakums, " the streets of Bakersfield" but that was an original song, and that went over real good, I also like when George Jones did one with I think Reba? or Barbara Mandrel I can't remember right know which one , or maybe some one else, but it was "I wa country, when country wasn't cool", But that to was a new song, so I guess if they stick with new songs that's much better, as I think in this, but doing the older persons song, as a remake over generational lines, I stick with my original idea.

properly, before everything, she's a chum of mine. We proportion a love for Merle Haggard. Secondly, confident, those are actual pictures of her and Merle. I had concept for a number of years that i develop into his greatest fan.......then I met Helen. She's been a private pal to him and Theresa (his spouse) for some years now and to me, that makes her related to the luckiest woman interior the international with the help of God. She has met, and develop into acquaintances with, extra "classic" usa song performers than i ought to even start to call. Like I suggested, she's fairly dad-gummed fortunate in case you question me.

I think it is a crying shame that the old stars have to revert to this to have a little air time. There is more talent, and feelings being thrown away because they can not dance, or they are older and ugler than the bubblegum country stars today, it makes my stomach want to jump out of my throat.
