There have been a few days where I have forgotten to take them at the same time. I am usually good about taking them at 8:00am before I drop the baby off and go to work, but there have been a few days where I have taken them after work. I know that I'm supposed to take them at the same time everyday, but my question is if I forget to take it only a few times does that mean that I have messed up for the month? I never used to be able to take the pill so I really am not sure how strict it is to take it at the same time everyday. Just let me know some of your opinions please!! Thank you!!

I think that as long as you are taking them on a daily basis it's ok. Most doctors will tell you to take them at the same time everyday but that's probably so that you'll get into a routine and you won't forget. Like my doctor told me to keep them by my toothbrush and take them after I brushed my teeth. If you are having trouble remembering to take them you can buy those containers to keep your pills in that have a timer on them.

There are only 14 months between my first and second child because I took one pill 12 hours late. While I love both my kids, we had not planned to have the second so soon. If you're not ready for another yet, I'd try to remember to take them at the same time each day. Remember, the pill is only 99% effective when taken properly. Taking it late or skipping a day reduces the effectiveness.

As long as you have not skipped any days you should be alright. Taking them late is ok but I wouldn't keep doing it. Put them in front of something that you reach for every morning to remind yourself. DO NOT SKIP DAYS. You will have to stop in the middle of the cycle and start over the next month. Those are the kind of mistakes that get more babies before needed. If you have a really hard time remembering why not try other options? Shot, patch, implant under skin.Good luck

You do not tell me the name of your pill but most of the low dose pills are not forgiving of taking them 8 hours late. If you know you have trouble remembering why don't you select a method that you do not have to remember everyday like the nuvaring? Or try a less hectic time of day like bedtime- put the pills around your toothbrush with a rubber band- most everyone can remember to brush their teeth at night but the mornings can be hectic especially getting the baby ready and getting off.

As long as you are taking a pill each day, you will be fine. If you miss a pill take it as soon as you remember. If you miss 2 or more pills, discontinue taking the pack and use a back up method of birth control until you start your period and can start a new pack. You may have some break through bleeding if you miss more than 2 pills.

Your'e doctor will tell you that you should take them at the same time everyday. I hardly ever take mine at the same time everyday and I have been on them for about 7 years. No baby yet! I might take it at 10:00 on night and 1:00 the next night. Or I might forget to take it one night and take two the next night. Havent gotten pregnant yet, but people might be different when taking them. Hope this helps!

Well honestly... i'm not to sure if it reallyis that important to take the pill at the exact time each day... as long as you dont miss a day.... I took the pill for 6 yrs... and I never once took it at the same time... I would take mine at night... Sometimes at 7:00 p.m sometimes at 11:00 p.m sometimes we would get home really laet and i would take it at like 1:00 in the a.m and i never got pregnant....

Read the instructions and listen to your doctor!

Taking the pill late (even by a few hours) can cause you to ovulate. Hope you're ready for another baby!
