Yes, they can come off, and how they come off will say whether it hurts or not. They'll eventually grow back though.

Yes. I lost a thumb nail after I hit the thumb with a hammer - twice. Hitting it hurt like heck, but it didn't hurt when the nail came off. It took about 6 months for the new nail to grow in. The old nail stuck to the bed for a long time, but it eventually came off as the new nail grew out. I eventually pulled the old one off as it came loose.

Yes, if you slam your fingers in something, your nails will fall off. It does hurt but you can put them back on. However, if you don't put them back on, have no fear, they will grow back. that part doesn't hurt but the exposed skin will probably be quite painful.

Sometimes, if you injure the finger or toe real bad, it blackens and as a new nail is growing in, it pushes out the old dead nail. No pain at all if you let nature take its course.

it can be ripped off, broken, split, or naturally fall off. But they grow back.

yes they can fall..but you will feal no pain.don't worry it will grow back ;)..good luck!
