I don't like the fact Michael Jackson abandon(aparently) his race but I don't appraciate the way he was treated by white American in TV media, racist tabIoid and even hollywood movie.
Elizabeth taylor abandon him, Marc Anthony , Puerto Rican singer and actor made a racist comment about him.Why a liberal, democratic country can be so cruel. I don't know if the crime he is accuse having commit is true(I seriously dubt), but it is far more common among white people.
In Europe and Asia, by contrast, he is still very much love and respected.

M.J. has a skin disease vitiligo, I don't think he is intentionally trying to look white, ever see the umbrella he has over him in the sun?
I don't like him either, but I don't think he is trying to look white........if you remarked on his nose, then that's another story!

Because in America, sorry to say, people are more closed-minded about eccentric and strange things, behaviors and people. Living overseas and then living in America, I can sure tell you that. Also some people don't like him because of the accusations made against him concerning the child molestation (which were never proven to be true & i don't believe them)...Michael Jackson doesn't hate his race by the way, he has vitiligo.

Black people pretty much forgot about Michael Jackson 10-15 years ago when it became obvious that he had decided that he was no longer black. He doesn't want to be black anymore? Fine. Bye! You were embarrassing back in the 80's and we just don't care anymore.
What Michael Jackson doesn't realize is that white people aren't going to automatically embrace him as being "white" (or "not black"). White people over the age of 35 apparently still occasionally remember that Michael is black. If he had been white and had done all that freaky stuff, there wouldn't have been anywhere near as much controversy.

I cannot believe this, you are assumedly of Mr Jackson's race, and you don't know that he doesn't TRY to look white? He has a disease, called Vitiligo, it bleaches the melanin out of his skin, he has no choice in the matter.
And while some of his behaviors seem to us rather bizarre, and even inappropriate at times, I think there are very few that actually hate him, most rather pity him, I am sure.
If you take the tabloids to reflect the opinions of people, you are a fool, the tabloids only reflect the opinions of those few that produce them. Anything you see in the media is done with a spin, placed there by those in seats of control.....the media does not reflect the opinions of the majority, it only reveals the opinions of those that control the media. That you take the actions of the few you mention here, and attribute them to the greater majority, is so completely illogical and unfair as to be laughable. Do not allow yourself to be led about by the opinions of the media.....they never reflect the opinions and attitudes of the majority.

If he was abandoned, it was because he was getting too weird and they might have believed what was being said about what he did to little boys. I don't think race, one way or the other, has anything to do with it. Just to let you know, most white people still consider him a black man.

It's got nothing to do with the shade of his skin, and I think you might benefit from examining your own prejudices in that regard.
For me, Michael Jackson is a child molester. Black, white, brown, purple, I'm against that.
Europe and Asia love and respect a child molester. Why am I not surprised that the oh-so-sohisticated Euroweenies aren't troubled by child molestation?

Unfortunately for white people he changed his skin color so he is now in theirs. I'd be mad too lol. And for all of you saying he has a disease that turned him white what in the hell are you talking about? Even if that is true he has so much money he could afford plastic surgery to turn his skin back. Also he adopted some white kids and lies and says they were born from him. He wants to be white but nobody wants to accept him.

I remember back in junior high when Michael was Michael - and he was black. All the girls thought he was hot. Then, he started changing himself, and acting strange. It really doesn't have anything to do with his color - it's that he's not comfortable in his own skin.

well michael jackson has a skin disorder that causes his skin to be mostly white but he has blotches of dark/black skin. so he tries to hide it with lots of white makeup... at least that is what my friend's aunt who is a nurse said. and who hates michael jackson??? he is the GREATEST performer of all times. sure he has his problems, but who doesn't! it doesn't help that he is famous, and his life is on public display... give him a break... anyway why does COLOR matter so much to people these days? people are people no matter what they look like.
