someone told me it has to do with them using it to snort cocaine, but I have seen it on some foreigners too. It has to be something more than for cocaine use...

IN some countries, it is a sign of wealth. those that do manuel labor can not have fingernails like that because the break, tear, etc.
And yes, it's a ifty little coke sniffer/measurer thing.

Its a trend thats all..I can't stand it! A couple of men in my family have it and thank God none of my family members use cocaine! Nails can be useful for scratching when the wife is not around..lol. Im sure there are some people that have it for cocaine but to say there's no other reason is just completely asinine.

I have seen some people use the long fingernail as a tool to clean inside their ears. Probably use it to pick other places, too. Really bad manners.
Like you heard, the other thing they do is use it to snort coke. Maybe they use it as a tool for something else, but I am not sure what?

I'm assuming you mean the pinky finger? If so, I know when an asian person grows out there pinky finger nail it shows pride in there religion. Not all Asians do it, sometimes they do it to show they're involved in labor. Or sometimes as a tool... Scratch your ear, pick your nose... oddly.

Cant speak 4 any1 else, but if I let my nails grow(as I usually do)that is the one that always grows the longest. I get teased by people who ask me is that my coke nail(I dont do drugs). I think it is the nail with the most iron,and calcium

I think it looks tacky but I've heard the same thing as you; that's it's used to snort cocaine. I haven't heard any other reason.

I had a pal who had the comparable challenge and its a bad habit there is alot of micro organism decrease than you nails and putting them on your mouth makes you greater companies to Bacterial infections and illnesses. Nail biting is particularly undesirable on your nails that's particularly a minor nail affliction called onychophagia. you could advise taking her to get her nails accomplished at a nail salon, have her get a nail submitting or acrylic information. this could help discourage her from biting them. wish this permits.

Well, personally, I use the long pinky finger to clean my ears. You're not supposed to use anything else. Then I was my hands really, really good.
