you should wait about 24 hours, just to be sure... but with most chemicals you can get right in... even with acid or shock. the chemicals dissapate in the water, and it won't harm you. but, to tell you the truth, you probably wasted your money. metal-free is a great product, but if you're on well water and the copper and iron concentration is high, and you need to put water in your pool, then you are basically losing $35. high copper and iron can cause high phosphates, (food for algae) but next time, i would reccommend buying some phos-free by natural chemistry. it will get rid of your organics in the water. there's not much you can do about the copper and iron in the long term, though. =)

Good question. If there is a 1-800 or customer service number on the bottle I would call and ask. Or try your local hardware or pool store for the answer. It's definitely important to know so that you don't cause a chemical reaction!!!

nicely water will many times have a severe iron content cloth; commonly, the iron ought to be bumped off earlier the different chemical additions (which many times oxidize it and convey shade differences in the water). some steel removers might want repeated applications, counting on how severe the steel readings are. (what number cases have you ever tried it?) additionally, considered one of those filter out could have an consequence on how long it takes to get rid of the metals and the discoloration from the water. (Sand filters, to illustrate, will generally take longer than a DE filter out). Have the water checked for iron, (pool supply shops ought to do this, or you will get a kit...) and repeat the steel remover as needed (in accordance to label instructions. some, to illustrate, require an exceedingly low or merely approximately no chlorine point to artwork actual.) ultimately, the concern ought to clean. If obtainable, evaluate a various source for filling your pool next time (In severe situations, it is your appropriate decision this time...)

Hi,

It is best to call the manufacturer, because it will
depend if the chemical you add to the water is a
sequestering agent (Metal Preventative) or a
chelating agent (Metal Removing).

But one thing I can say is that no matter what type
of chemical it is...it's always better to add in
the evening. So that it doesnt have to compete
with the sun.

Hope this helps...

Take Care,

Michael Silvester
