How long after quitting your birth control would it take you to be able to concieve. I have been off of it for nearly a month and have had unprotected sex three times during that time. Is there a certain amount of time it takes b.c. to completely exit your system? Is it to early for me to get pregnant?

Well, considering that I got pregnant with my now 6 month old son while I was on the birth control pill... I'd have to say that it just depends on the person. You could be pregnant now.. or it could take a few months. Have fun trying! =)

My doctor told me 3-6 months for the pill to get completely out of your system, he also told me to use protection for at least the first 3 because (although not a proven thing yet) there are some things that the BC in your system can do to negatively affect your pregnancy, like preterm labor (usually between 14-23 weeks) or miscarriage, so for your and the babies protection, wait another month or two. It is not too early for you to get pregnant but more likely in the coming months after your normal cycle returns. The hormones will leave you body pretty rapidly but ovulation can take a month or two so don't be upset if you have your period this time.

The birth control (assuming you were on the pill) should be out of your system by now. But, for some women, it can take a couple months for your body to start ovulating again.
About 25% of couples get pg in the first month. 60% get pg within 6 months, 75% get pg within 9 months, and 80% get pg by one year. 90% get pg by 18months. The average each month is you have about a 20% chance in any given cycle to get pg.

It depends on the woman and what form of b/c she took. With stuff like the pill or patch it takes about three months on average..maybe longer maybe sooner? If you took the depo (Like me) than you could wait anywhere from 6 months to 18 months, just depends.

At least a month sometimes longer depending on how long you have been on the pill
