Violent crimes increasing, divorce rates climbing to 80 % (its already around 60%), internet access from cars causing more accidents. Just nationwide chaos.

Just about in the same position as it is now. China is about 50 years behind the US and the US economy is, if I remember correctly, atleast 3 times the size of China's.
The US will not change that much, you will probably see a change in the production of energy in the United States. Most likely there will be hundreds more Nuclear Power Plants, Solar plants, and Wind mills. Cars in the US will still run on gasoline!
******Just a little news flash for you guys*******
E85 ethanol, is 85% gasoline. E85 is less fuel efficient than Gasoline. There for it takes more of it to power your car, in fact you burn MORE gasoline to travel any distance than you would with just gasoline so actually it harms the enviroment!!!
If you don't believe me look it up. Hybrids are the future.
Let's see what else, the US will still be in Iraq, Iran will have been bombed by Israel to destroy their "peaceful reactors", There will have been another terrorist attack, most likely in NYC, that will kill hundreds but nothing like 9/11, The US will go back to the moon and NASA will begin building a moon base most likely.
That is just my opinion though, the US has not changed much in the last 20 years it will not change much in the next 20 years.

Like China...
But much less manufacturing, more services and R&D's also, creative industries will take the lead. PhD will don't worth a damn anymore, as the world will share its specialists by the millions thus bringing down their wages as well (Chinese PhD and Indians are paid much less), the ones that will be paid the most will be the creative minds and innovators.
Not sure about the military...
