I am trying to sell some textbooks on ebay (they are used, but in new condition) I check to see if anyone has looked at the item and it says like 25 people have but no one is bidding. How can I sell my items faster and why are people looking but not bidding or buying? also, how can I get into the whole seller thing? where do people get the discouted items that they sell on ebay (even when they are brand new they are cheap)?

Look at your opening bid. Is it set too high? If you notice, the items that tend to move faster are those that have a low opening bid. People are more likely to start bidding at a lower price and then get attached to the idea of winning that item...then the price goes up in bidding wars. Also, do you have enough description of the items you are selling. Photos do wonders for the items you are selling. Shipping costs...are you charging a reasonable amount for shipping? Even if you start your item off with a low bid, if you have a high shipping cost, this discourages buyers. Also, offer expedited shipping as many of textbooks are needed asap! Just a few thoughts!

i always used half.com for textbooks, that way i dont pay for them until someone buys them, you can't make people bid on your item! there is no sure way to make people buy them

to be a drop shipper you can contact most of the peoples who are selling items and ask where they are signed up with. most times, you list them, the other company gets a cut of the money and they ship them out for you, u are just a middle man

Are you possibly pricing your items too high? Used books don't bring a lot. Check what similar items have sold for. You're getting the lookers, so there must be a market for your items.

I quit buying stuff from e-bay after I got the item for a really cheap price, the sellers made up for it by charging really steep shipping and "handling " fees.

Instead of 7 days until the auction end put it to 5 and install a "buy it now" button.

If the fee is on carry, it sounds like an errors on her behalf.. Like John i decide for to advise you touch Paypal with the small print of the object (auction variety), deliver them the song variety and that they're going to touch you with any information you require - they are extremely rapid and actually efficient.. Use a starting bid of 0.01 and no reserve. I don't know anything about wholesaling on ebay.
