What is so bad if we have all these cultures in America? Isn’t that what America is all about? I think it's wonderful that we learn about different cultures, but we have to leave the political aspects out. And does it matter if this culture comes from undocumented immigrants or documented immigrant?

Yes it matters if immigrants are legal or illegal. The illegal immigrants tax our public health system, our local infrastructures, our institutions of justice, every aspect of American life is being strained by illegals. And then add the illegals from Mexico and their hostility toward American culture and I can honestly say they take away from America and do not give back.

If they were bringing their cultures to meld with ours, great. After all, we were considered the "Great Melting Pot" in the early 20th century.

However, nowadays, they are bringing their culture but not assimilating at all to ours (for the most part, I will not say 100% are doing this).

Lots are not even learning the language, which is why we have to send letters, report cards and others home from school in 15 languages. This alone is costing millions and millions of dollars.

Im not sure why when I call my local cable company, i have to "PUSH 1 for ENGLISH"
If people were learning the language of the country they came to, this would be unnecessary.

Think of it this way, if you were to move to Russia, you would have to learn Russian to do anything meaningful.
If you wanted to move to France, you would have to learn French, Simple.

And Yes, I will pick on the Mexican people, if you went to Mexico (outside of the touristy areas), you would have to learn, they are not going to bend over and change their entire society to accomodate you .
Period

What's bad is that they're leaving their cultures behind and trying to integrate into our system so that they become like everyone else.

Why don't they bring their culture along?

Because it's criticized and hated by ethnocentric folks.

Yeah, culture is great. Too bad we didn't choose for it to be on every corner. Instead, it just appeared...illegally!
