A lot of people say they hate the Yankees, but I have come to the realization that there is nothing worse than the idiots who think they had some active part in 26 world championships.

Dude, I'm a Mets fan and was a yanks fan on, but they are they ARE THE BIGGEST SORE LOSERS! IF THEY LOSE 4-3, THEY GO INTO CURSING MODE, MAYBE BECUASE THEY HAVE WON 26 Championships, so maybe because of that.

No sense in hating anything that has to do with sports, it's not the real world, so why bother wasting your energy on something so unimportant in life?
I happen to be a Yankee fan, and we seem to take more crap than anybody on here, but most of us let stupid questions like yours bounce right off of us. I suggest you get a life, maybe read a book, write a poem, relax, then realize that there is more to life than hating fans of the New York Yankees.

Funny how the Yanks went on this tear and started makin up some ground and you really didn't hear anything from Yankees fans.
But when they were stinkin up the joint in May, all you saw was how the Yanks are old, in last place, how good the Red Sox were doing, blah blah, blah...
Whatever dude. Get over it.
And that's a real nice comment from the Red Sox fan that said the Yankees "overpaid" for their players. HAHAHAHA

J.D. Drew's: $14,400,000. $14 mil for his .236 average
Nice real nice. Yeah... the Yanks over pay for some players (like Pavano), but so does your team. When you know what you're talking about, then post a comment, otherwise keep your ignorant mouth shut.

I hate the obnoxious Yankees fans who know nothing about the game and dont have anything to say but 26 rings. There are a lot of cool Yankees fans but they are true fans of the game and can actually hold a conversation of the game, there are two groups of Yankees fans a) the true fans who know the game and can actually talk about it and b) the bandwagon yahoos who only say "blah blah your jealous of our rings." I think every team has fans like this and they all suck, they arent true fans, I think Yankees yahoos are the worst of them all and its a shame because they give the true fans a band name.
I am a diehard Red Sox fan, sadly we have some yahoos as well, and I have met some really cool Yankees fans at Red Sox/Yankees games, drank some beers and chatted the game with them.
I actually saw one Yankee yahoo moron on here a few times say "Red Sox fans are jealous because their team has only won once in 100 years." If he knew anything about the game he would realize the Red Sox 5 in the past 100 years.
I hate Yankee bandwagon yahoos, but I also hate the bandwagon yahoos of all teams.

Is it that serious that you have to "hate" Yankee fans? I mean really.......I am a Yankee fan, and I don't "hate" Boston fans. It just seems a little over the top to say that you hate someone because they are a fan of a team that you don't particularly like. There are just as many annoying fans of other teams, why don't you hate on them for a while?

im a big yanks fan and i know the type of fans you hate
those are the ones who started cheering around 1996 and feel like they have been part of the teams
every sport, every team has fans that are bandwagoners, and think that they know everything when they dont
you can spot those people on here by the ones that say "27 in 07" come on. the yanks arent winning the series this year. too much competition in the AL and NL. i think they can make the playoffs. but they will either get the Tigers (beat them last year in the DS) or the Angels (best record of any ML team against the Yanks AND beat them in the 02 DS) if they make it
i love to be supportive but a real fan knows when to shoot for the moon and when not to
so im sorry that a small group of fans have made you bring on this stereotype, but not all yankee fans are bad

I hate the Yankees, but not their fans. I figure, why hate someone just because they like a different baseball team?
It sounds like you've had some frustrating conversations (either personally or online) with some Yankee fans, but don't let them get to you. The truth is, most of them are ok, but a few jerks make the rest look bad-but it's the same way with every fan base.

I'm sure there is. I couldn't imagine being a Oriole fan right now, I'm sure they're not big on Yankee fans.
Their ownership should be commended for how they run their team though. They didn't get those 26 rings by accident.

I can probably guess what team u like. To me there is nothing worse than a person who hates on the Yankees. The are (to this day) the BEST team to ever have a franchise in sports history. I love them, GO YANKS!

i say 27 in 07!! and i'm not a bandwagoner..........i love the yankees and i believe in them....you CANT be a true yankees fan if you dont believe in your team you aren't a fan...at all...you must be a boston fan at heart.....

I do think that the Yankees fans that I have run across are very annoying and just act like jerks.
But, every team has a few "well known" fans that are very annoying.
