Once in high school, I thought it a good idea to lie in the tanning bed twice in one day! My friend was working at a Women’s fitness center and allowed me to do so. Needless to say I was burnt all over my body. I feared my face would be permanently disfigured because there were blisters galore. My body was swollen and I could barely move! My Mother went to the pharmacist and he recommended I bathe with plain Oatmeal. Desperate, I put some plain oatmeal inside a sock to use as my wash cloth. With my Mom’s assistance, I was able to wash my whole body. I repeated this routine for several days and I swear by it! The pain, the redness, and the blisters were completely gone within three days – no joke! Some people judge this remedy as disgusting and useless, but really and truly, it works and you will be healed in no time! I feel your pain and wish you well soon!

soak towels in vinegar and place them on the burn parks for several minutes, the coolness will sooth you emediately and the vinegar it self will remove the stinging feeling if left on for several minutes. Continue doing this until you feel like a salad, just joking but it works, then take a long cold shower with a very delicate soap, do not dry off, cover your self in a moisturizer while you are still wet. rubbing your skin with a towel will only cause more drying. Repeat daily until it no longer has pain. And continue to moisturize even if you start peeling. Believe it or not you can substitute neosporin or preperation H for the moisturizer. It helps with the pain too.

I live close to the beach and I know how you feel. I use plain white vinegar, rub it all over where your burnt, do it several times a day, this gives some relief from the burning pain and also helps to keep from peeling so bad. Once you are past the pain of the burn, use skin softner creme.

Use aspirin for the pain; it's an inflammation so that really helps. For the burn itself, this Irish/Frenchman uses 100% pure Aloe gel - really slather it on, cools it down fast. Try to stay away from the weird green Aloes or other "soothers" - the clear 100% gel works best.

Well I went on my friends boat last summer and got totally burnt. What I did to stop the burn was made really strong tea and let it cool, then put wash cloths in the tea and applied them directly to the sunburn, dont worry it doesnt burn it feeels so much better after that. As well as the tea I recommend using the normal banana boat cream to avoid peeling. Hope this helps your sunburn =]

Noxzema will take the sting, out.. Sounds like your pretty close to sun poisoning. Drink fluids... Hang in there, the pain should pass in a couple of days..

I lived on an island growing up , has had the same thing happen to me plenty of times.

Go buy aloe vera gel or a leaf there like 3 dollars and rub. But time will take of itself it will peel off! If it really hurts take Advil or Tylenol!

Some people use aloe creams. I prefer something called Arnica salve - it's petroleum based so it lasts for hours as it soothes. I have used it on everything from sunburns to chemical burns to burns from the stove! I usually find it at WalMart.

Aloe vera, also put soft washcloths on your legs that are wet with lukewarm water... Burns, well burn, because of the air hitting the skin.
