I met Roger Moore, (James Bond) 18 years ago, I was assistant manager in the Westminster Arms in London, Roger was eating lunch, I served him, but didn't have a clue who he was, to me he was just a polite man who left a good tip, some other staff asked me what Roger was talking to me about when he had gone, I asked "Who's Roger!"
I also met Geoffery from Rainbow (Rod Jane & Freddy Rainbow) as I did my pub managment training in his local, The Crown i think it was called in Kingston upon Thames.
