I had a friend in high school named Voila, without the accent. I don't see why not.

Voila sounds like you're pulling her out of a hat for a magic trick. VIOLA is probably a better choice....though I'm not into that one too much either....

I heard of a mother naming her daughter 'Rana' which means Frog in Spanish! ;0{
