My period was three days early this month. They typically last about 4-5 days and are pretty heavy. This cycle has been light, and I am on day 9 now. I've never been on birth control.
I took a pregnancy test four days ago that came back negative, and I'm pretty sure that was accurate. But what could make it so long, early, and light this month? It seems like it hasn't been enough to "get it all out," so to speak.
Any ideas? Is there cause for concern at all?

Thanks so much in advance!

Just found a post by another woman having a similar problem... most people assured her it was normal, but I'd still appreciate any input you guys could give me. :)
This is my first post, so I'm trying to figure this stuff out...

Also- just to clarify for the second poster - it's not possibly STD related. I'm in a monogamous marriage.

There are a few reasons why your period can change. It can be related to stress and also weight loss. You can always take another pregnancy test and see what the result is, just to put your mind at ease. If it doesn't get back to normal though I would go see your doctor. Good luck with everything!

Not to freak you out but my friend went through the same thing and thought it was stress but it ended up being Gnorrea and chlamidia. Go to the gyn. I hope that helped.

It seems normal. A woman's cycle can change several times over her lifetime. if you are worried about it, you can always talk to your doctor.

You shouldn't be concern about it....Don't worry..relax....period might come late and early, different for each month...its only probably of your stress.....and sometimes it comes early because you are too relax and your happy...
