My father just passed away on the 8th of June. Hardest thing I have ever done, he passed in his home and I was with him as he went. (after a 3 yr battle with cancer) I want to honor and remember him by using his name William. I really like the name Logan William. What do you think? He was so excited to see his first grandchild. I feel like he would be very proud to have his name included in the baby's. What do you think? Thanks oh I am 29 weeks and were sure its a boy!

Boy let me tell you, that really brings back some memories. I am so sorry for your loss. I think that Logan William is a great name. My father passed away when I was pregnant with my son. He had a brain tumor. The day that he died I told him that I would name my baby after him if I had a boy. He was in a coma at the time and could do nothing. After I told him he swallowed. I knew that he heard me. My dad's name was Raymond Joseph. I named my baby boy Joseph Raymond. My son was born 45 days after my dad passed. I am the youngest of 6 kids and Joey was my first. I am the only one of my siblings whose children did not get to meet their grandfather. I am now pregnant with my 3rd baby, and I still think of my dad often. Oh, and don't let anyone tell you that you will get over it. You won't. It WILL get easier, but you will never get over it. 7 1/2 years later I still find myself crying every once in a while.

Its a wonderful thought and great way to remember him! I lost my dad to cancer 3 years ago, its very hard, i know. Luckily my sister had a little boy before he passed and gave her little boy my dads first name as her sons middle name.
Logan William is a beautiful name. I'm sure your dad would be privileged and your son will be proud after you tell little Logan all about your dad, of who he was named after!

Best Wishes on your coming baby & Sympathy for your loss

I think that's a wonderful name. I think names are better when they have some meaning and naming your son after your father is a just wonderful. I kind of like William Logan better, but that will really depend on how it flows with your last name. With my last name William Logan sounds better. But I like Logan William too.

I think that is a beautiful way to honor and remember your father. Personally, William Logan sounds better to me. But, they are both good names.

I'd call him William (Will) Logan. William is a wonderful name. Either way, it's a wonderful tribute. If I had had a boy, I would have also named it after my deceased father who was also a William.
