President Bush's veto only prevents federal tax dollars from being used to destroy embryos.

Private funds are used for embryonic stem cell research on a daily basis.

Bush did not make it illegal.

By the way. You and I were embryos, once.

Actually your wrong.

The Bush administration, does provide federal funds for embryonic stem cell research.

But only for existing embryonic stem cells.

And I bet they didn't know, the Clinton administration, never once provided federal funding for any kind of stem cell research.

Does that mean the liberals were trying to prevent medical cures when Clinton was President ?

yes, i knew that. lots of Americans may be against stem cell research but not many people support the war in Iraq. We were embryos once but I was not aborted. Are you guys saying that Stem Cell research was as known about back in 1998 when Clinton was president.

Yes I do know that.
I also know that if the successes of embryonic stem cell research were anything CLOSE to the successes of Adult stem cell research, private corporations would be rushing to invest in the research without creating a huge TAX boondoggle to pay for it.
It is ALL a grab for your wallet. It is all a fraud!

I am fully aware of that. Disagree with his policy of no federal funds. Isnt that sort of a wishy washy stance anyway?.... "Well, I guess its OK, as long as the none of the money Im taking from the people is used in a way to help the people"

And if your agreement is based on "no public money should be used since a lot of people are against it".....A lot more people are against spending money for the war in Iraq...but I guess as long as its only adult americans being killed thats alright...just dont hurt that blob of cells over there.

I agree with Bush that tax funds shall not be used for stem cell research since many tax payers are against it. Prvate cos can still do their research.

Yes, I know that. Bush prefers to spend the federal tax dollars on the ungrateful Iraqis that blow up every building that we rebuild for them.
