a percentage is so many parts of a 100 so whatever percentage fig you have, say x, the fraction equivalent would be x divided by 100 (x/100)
you should then be able to simplify this down if possible...
eg. 25% = 25/100 - simplifying gives 1/4
hope this helps...

A percentage is just a number that represents a fraction out of 100. So, whatever percent you have, divide it by 100 to get a fraction. Simplify after that if necessary.

use the percentage as the numerator and 100 as the denominator - then simplify into lowest terms.
For example:
59% = 59/100
50% = 50/100 = 1/2
20% = 20/100 = 1/5
5% = 5/100 = 1/20
100% = 100/100 = 1/1 = 1
200% = 200/100 = 2/1 = 2
.5% = .5/100 = 5/1000 = 1/200
etc...

The word "percent" simply means "per hundred", that is "divided by one hundred".
So, 100% = 100/100 = 1
50% = 50/100 = 1/2 = 0.5
10% = 10/100 = 1/10 = 0.1

For example, 16% is really 16/100.
Percent means per one hundred.
Always reduce your fraction
16% = 16/100= 4/25
