Learn the difference between stability and reactivity. Basicity has no influence upon stability.

Butyllithium/tetramethylene ethyenediamine will pull multiple protons off already anionic cyclopentadienide in ferrocene. It will deprotonate THF to retrocyclicly give acetaldehyde anion. BuLi/TMEDA is stable if correctly stored.
