Okay, I absolutely LOVE Fall Out Boy, but i can't figure this out. They have a song called 'the carpal tunnel of love' My mom told me that 'carpal tunnel syndrome' was a disease or somethingbut even SHE couldn't figure what the phrase would mean. My question is : is it just some silly phrase? or does it mean something?

a lot of fall out boy lyrics and song titles are a play on words.
"carpal tunnel of love" is probably just a play on words from "tunnel of love"
also carpel tunnel syndrome causes pain or numbness in the hand or wrist. so it can be a play on words about how love itself is numbing or painful.

It's a play on the phrases Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (which is a painfull inflammation of the tendons and nerves in the wrist and hand ) and the phrase Tunnel of Love (which is a romantic ride they used to have at carnivals.

The way you get carpal tunnel, is working with your hands, doing the same motions over and over for long periods of time. Factory workers that have to assemble products, usually get carpal tunnel. It is very painful. I haven't heard the song, but maybe it's about a painful relationship, because they do the same things all the time.

I think that it has to do with the tunnel of love, but carpal being a wrist thing usually happens when you do too much work with your hands. Playing and instrument, typing, and possibly jacking off. I think thats where carpal comes from. I know its vulgar, but I don't know much about Fall Out Boy's songs

I love Fall Out Boy too, but I seriously don't get it.......
I mean, when I first thought of Carpal Tunnel, I did think CTS.. but I just thought it was kind of funny that they were mixing the diesease with the Tunnel of Love.. I didn't think it was supposed to mean anything.....
And if anyone is kissing Petey in the Carpal Tunnel of Love, please tell me so I can spare my parents buying a new tv (again...). I put my foot through it when I saw both This Ain't a Scene It's an Arms Race and Thnks Fr Th Mmrs..... lol

Only they know the answer to that question, but if I were going to make an interpretation, I would say that "carpal tunnel of love" would be a neat way of saying, "I injured myself masturbating, because she wouldn't let me put it into her vagina"
