how do u tell the diffrence from a male gold fish and a female

You can only tell on fish that are mature (over 1 year old) and in breeding condition. The males get breeding tubercles (look like pimples) on the gill covers and along the front edges of their side fins. There's also a difference in the shape of the vent at this time. The link has photos of both features so you know what to look for.

There are other suggested methods (midline ridge, behavior, fin shape, body shape), but these aren't as reliable and can only be used when comparing fish of the same age and variety.

The female fish are nagging the male fish.

the only way to tell is in mating season (when the water warms up) the females will get big and fat and the males with get white dots on there heads

The anal fin on the male is concave, on the female it is convex. Means: half moon shape, rounded.

the males have big long and pretty fins
the girls have smaller fins but they are also pretty too.

i have to say this.... if one of the fish has blue booties on its a boy if the other has pink ones on its a girl
