I'm not into the romance thing with vampires. I like really gory details kinda like the movies on Sci-fi. If anyone can recommend some that would be a really big help.( I don't like Ann Rice)

The World of Darkness fiction novels from White Wolf are my favorite, they really let you get into the characters instead of lumping them into Vampire stereotypes.

So far there are 3 books, awating the 4th. All are written by different authors but keep the same setting and characters.

A Hunger Like Fire (Vampire: The Requiem Novel #1)
Blood In, Blood Out (Vampire: The Requiem Novel #2)
Marriage of Virtue & Viciousness (Vampire: The Requiem Novel #3)

The Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer, The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. Those are the best choices in my opinion.

Laurell K Hamilton early work had some gory details with vampires & shapeshifters."The Laughing Corpse" is one of her earlier ones.
The other books I read have more romance with vampires in them. Hope this helps.

First off no one has ever survived a real vampire attack.. So the ones that do write about vampires all they are able to write about is what is in their imagination or stories that they may have heard period...............................................................
