allow the ASKER to delete answers they don't like...or are from the kids..or from people who are offended. instead of allowing folks to REPORT others. I see far to many decent ..yes silly..questions get deleted because some kid or some person simply reported them. here's a thought HOW ABOUT NOT ANSWERING A QUESTION YOU DON'T LIKE.
because a smart remark is the same as not answering and that's in violation.
what's your thoughts? that's a clean and easy way of keeping kids in their corner and from adults answering kid questions.

that's the point cattier. PEOPLE AREN'T KEEPING TO THEMSELVES. and its very easy to make an other account and use that as a smart remark answering one (by the i have many of them..hehehe). so if yahoo is serious about how it takes answers and its violations..i think this is a half way decent start. apparently people are taking answers and the point system serious. why should some get violations when they say things like....thanks for the 2 points..then the asker goes out and reports them for not answering the question....now was that really a violation?
it helps with the pickyness of the violations.

No, this suggestion does not provide for any improvement, and would probably increase infighting. Some people would want revenge when their answers were deleted by the asker.
The current problem is two-fold: 1)The rules are too darn picky, and 2) the Yahoo staff is understaffed. They don't have the resources to check out all the reports they get and act sensibly on all of them, so often they just issue violations notices and do deletions without sufficient checking.

Hey.... I'm with you on this one... I think it's a great idea! There have been a lot of negative answers lately and I think it's uncalled for. For example: I asked a question about kids saying bad words and how it can be cute and I did mention in there that I don't laugh, but tell them they shouldn't say it. What do I get? Some people on there were accusing me of not teaching them right from wrong because I laugh at them! People just need to calm down and if they're going to answer a question, read the whole darn story before answering!

I think it could be good with restrictions, i mean then the asker could delete anyones ansqwer just b/c they don't like the answer they got even if it is valid. I think people reporting people is good too b/c some people give the most sarcastic and rude answers to serious questions, or are just plain gross and then wonder why they were reported. If you don't like being reported then don't answer the question, or keep the smart a%&, crude, not real answers to yourself!?

I see flaws if I understand you right. The parents are to busy to monitor questions for their kids. The posting of the questions would still be seen by those you find offensive. I am curious how offensive questions get listed in the first place but replying in the same manner is a violation.

Y!A has constantly been community moderated considering that its inception in 2005. I dont get the region human beings think of of the equipment that went into place very final September became precise right into a approach or the a number of NEW, with the help of way of fact it became into now no longer. How might the asker of this question adventure in the event that they knew that extremely the human beings turning indoors the abuse IN BULK are extremely purchasers that are factor 6 and seven that have grown so weary of the abuse that they take it upon themselves to function a quota of "comments" to their on a daily foundation quota of suggestions, questions and votes??? I extremely have been familiar to document in bulk, yet I document the ABUSE, now no longer the abuser. i in my opinion dont care who the guy call is under the avatar. i'm observing the ABUSE, now no longer THE ABUSER. Yahoo isnt going to hire a bunch of human beings to elementary a loose talk board. the only way you will get around it extremely is to can charge for Y!A like Google suggestions did... yet then you definately certainly will see the region replace into the ghost city GoogleA did... The kiddies won't in any appreciate never never pay to place up their swill... never.

Yes, I totally agree with you. I have seen a lot of good questions, and answers get deleted for no reason that I could tell, and yet I have seen others in which I think should have been deleted, and they just kept on traveling...lol
If you don't like the question....then "Don't Answer" It!!!! That's what I say!! Move on to the next one!!

Smart remarks are often all that can be given/and are wanted in P&S..I do like some of the ideas..a lot of the reporting is so picky, maybe a dumb report should cost a few rubles..
