White smoke is usually coolant burning. Somehow coolant is getting into the intake side of the engine. Are you sure you didn't get some hoses mixed up and going where they shouldn't be? Good luck.

depends of course if its cold. but if you put oil in it and it started smoking, u could have put too much in and its burning oil caused by over flowing it above the full mark on the dip stick and, u could have a blow head gasket as others have said, but it will smoke if you over filled it. keep an eye on it and watch if it gets worse. if it does start preparing for having your engine rebuilt or a new engine. keep a close eye on your oil level.

The white somke is oil burning. It sounds like you hooked your PCV(postive crankcase ventilation) tube up to your intake or throttle body witch means your dumping oil, oil vapors, and pressure back in to the engine. Witch is getting burned just as the gas does. Or this PCV Valve has gotten loged and is not funcitioning.

burning coolant in the cylender. Caused by a cracked head gasket, head, or block.

Could be worn valve guides, since the prob starts after the engine is hot.
