Yes it will remove your browsing history if you check the appropriate boxes under "Internet Explorer" (or if you use a different browser, under its category, like Firefox or Opera).

To be absolutely sure its gone though, go to Options/Settings, and enable the "Secure File Deletion" option.

Yes CCleaner can delete all the visited websites off your computer. All you have to do to do this is the following
-Open CCleaner
-If it is IE it will be on top click the box beside it
-Everything under IE will be checked except the last one
-On the bottom right corner hit Analyze
-After everything pops up click Run Cleaner
All your recent websites will be deleted.

You don't want any chance of retrieving the deleted files.
In Ccleaner select Options
1...... secure deletion( Normal file deletion ( faster)
2..........secure file deletion ( slower)
down the menu NSA 7 passes
Take action 2 above.
Also in OptionsAdvanced/ uncheck all specially first

Para two Try to retrieve deleted files ( for example note one or two files) with Recuva
from http://www.recuva.com You will get report unrecoverable.

When CCleaner starts up, look at the middle pane. You will see an Internet Explorer (or FireFox, or whatever Browser you use) section. Check everything under that.
