Without exception, whenever I'm on the road in my car and their's a bike nearby, the MUST weave in and out of traffic and rev their engines and take off at an exceedingly fast rate. Bikers, why do you suck at driving and why don't you drive safely?

Wow, I'm REALLY getting convinced that I'm wrong by all of the bike riders. Because it's FUN you have a right to drive crazy? HAHAHA!

I am not a biker but I see your point, I don't think all bike riders are bad but the many bad ones give everyone a bad image. I see mainly lots of fast crotch rocket bike riders riding like they have 9 lives and that makes me mad. They drive way to fast and weave in and out of traffic....on the other hand there are lots of good drivers too that follow the road rules and drive safe. I have heard from them that they have to be extra cautious on the road because of bad drivers who purposely try to run them off the road. So you can't say they are all bad, the bad one's tend to ruin it for everyone though.

It is not that we MUST weave in and out of traffic, but i'd say it is safer for us when we do it..

My point is, the vehicle infront of me is usually large and slow, thus I can't see anything ahead of the vehicle infront.. What happens if there is a cow or and old lady crossing the road?
The vehicle will jam the brakes and i go kissing the rear end of the vehicle.. So that is why i "overtake" the vehicle in front.

Why do i take off at an exceedingly fast rate?
Cos i dont want anything big blocking my view.. Or being hit when other vehicles change lanes without due care..

The same question could be asked about people in vehicles.

I think you might be a little jealous of motorcycle riders,on a nice day and you are stuck with you old car with no A/C and the *check engine * light stuck on. with its out of date inspection and registration stickers. Just be happy with what you have and leave the bike riders alone. Not all drivers suck as you claim weather they drive or ride.

I ride my motorcycle to work everyday (safely) and it's always the young guys on crotch rockets who drive like asses. I will admit that I am much faster on takeoff than nearby cars but this is because my bike is so light--I'm not trying to race or anything, and I never speed. Here in Ohio I kept off of Rt 8 around Akron for a couple years because off all the yahoos (I saw them filming stunts!).

Almost without exception, when you ask ANY car driver, they will tell you that they are "Above average" drivers. Truth be told, they are the worst drivers around. Now compare car drivers to motorcycle drivers.
action car motorcycle

eating while driving yes no
talking on the cell yes no
reading a map yes no
combing hair yes no
text messaging yes no
putting on makeup yes no
watching others no yes
looking for obstacles no yes
special license no yes

Now, compare the above list. If the person in front of you wasn't paying attention to what they were supposed to be doing, driving for example, wouldn't you weave around them to avoid hitting them? If honking your horn or revving your engine would get the attention of a car, to let them know that you are near them, wouldn't you? Of course you would. It would be the same thing if you had 100 semi tractor trailers, playing dodge with each other, and one lone car was mixed in the pack. Don't you think that the car driver would do anything that they could to avoid being hit?

Motorcycle riders are not crazy... ok ..maybe some but not all of them . Riding a motorcycle is something amazing, the wind in your body, the speed everything combined it`s like a sense of freedom that nobody can explain . And you will only understand when you ride one.Now i`m talking about riders not city, daddy's, show off, first timers motorcycle owners BOYs... There is a big difference.

Okay, now youre sounding like an idiot...

Legally, we are allowed to weave through traffic - we have engines made out of aluminum which will warp if they overheat. So, the law allows us to weavve through trafffic in most states. I also remind you that, by weaving through trafffic, we are doiung YOU a favor - or, we could be yet another car taking up space on that road you are riding down.

Bikes have about the same horsepower as a small car does - and they weigh much less. As such, it is easy for us to pull away from a car at a stop, due to the amount of weight youre asking your engine to move. Also, seeing as most of us have at one point of another been nearly killed by inattentive car drivers, we tend to take off from stop lights so as to avoid being rear ended by gas pedal happy motorists.

Id also point out that I am a safer driver than the average moron on the road, and have only been in traffic accidents that involve me being hit by others in cars. Why is that?

Because we're not distracted by:
- talking on the phone
- text messaging
- eating a hamburger
- reading a map
- playing with ourselves

And whatever else SOME of you cagers do on a daily basis. Most of us sprint from red lights to not get killed by the morons who are paying about 25% of your attention to the car and the other 75% to whatever else it is that you're doing when you should be driving.

"Without exception"? Are you serious??

I sense that you're jealous. Or maybe you're just compensating for the fact that you have a small pen!s and no motorcycle...

a) I love the acceleration. Jackrabbit start is a must!
b) Miyagi's advice to the Karate Kid was "Don't get hit." This is rule number one for motorcycle riders. I always ride in a way to reduce the chances of getting hit. Your idea of "driving safely" might not match rule number one. I'd rather be hale and whole and facing a ticket than get hit.

It's crazy fun, that's why! No matter what your age, you feel young on a bike. It's got ooodles of horsepower, it sounds cools and it's fun to ride. You just aren't going to get the same thrill driving a Buick. Sorry, didn't mean to upset you when I passed you. Did you see the way your wife was looking at me???? That's why you're really peed isn't it? I understand buddy. I was you once.
