i have a Asus M2N4-SLI AM2 Motherboard.

i don't know if the motherboard has PATA or SATA cables!

will it be able to read CD-ROM's, burn data and burn dvd's?

your motherboard has SATA 300 so yh easily work on it, and dont listen to him tellin ya to put it on pata, thats jus silly, its slower!! the whole point of sata is the faster data bandwidth... and also you have plenty of sata ports

Yu would be able to use a SATA DVD-RW on that motherboard, but the link you give shows a PATA/IDE interfaced DVD-RW.

if the mobo supports it then sure.. but if there is an E-IDE cable with an exsisting drive.. why not use that on that chain, it supports 2.

keep the SATA port free for an additional drive in the future.
