Well people are putting things like success and what not...But it's not revenge if your plot isn't successful. This is kind of an evil question...But I'm game.
If Revenge is a dish best served cold, then capturing it on tape and sharing it with all to see is the perfect side dish. Revenge, served with a side of embarrassment will satisfy any evil intention.
Of course, forgiveness often has a longer lasting affect. Because if someone wronged you, and you forgive them, they're only left with the guilt. Now Guilt...is something that is so perfect, it needs no side dish. Of course, that's never your intention.

Ex-Lover tar-tar is good. Ex-Lover or ex-friend medium rare, no sauce. Ex-friend pit-barbecued, lightly smoked, no sauce. Any of these may be served with a nice red wine, Port goes well with red meat. A nice healthy slice of Garlic/Butter on French Bread and a few slices of White Cheddar Cheese.(Sharp or extra sharp)

.....Boy did you come to the right person for this one! (Assuming this revenge involves an ex-lover)...................
The perfect side dish..............show up serving revenge in a FIRE ENGINE RED dress, with lip stick and nails to match, be10 lbs lighter then the last time he saw you................and then be as sweet as southern molasses, show NO bitterness, be charming, polite, and beautiful, ask about his family and his cat, show true concern...................
.Be Happy, happy, happy
.................He will die of envy on the spot!.............really you will see his hair change colors like Moses come down off of the mountain......

Utter destruction. Never leave an enemy able to come get you later. And one must assume that revenge is being taken on someone you probably consider an enemy.
