I recently did something of the sort.
My boyfriend and I had the debate on where to live. He's Norwegian and liked the US less the longer he lived there.Realizing how unhappy he was, I encouraged him to move home to Norway, and I would follow later on.
Three weeks ago, I did just that. I live in Oslo now.
New climate, new culture, new language, new currency...everything. I don't know many people yet, and so don't have my own social life just now. I think that about sums up living in someone else's 'world.'
But I'm happy, and I'm glad I made the choice I did.

Hello dear!
My moto is: where is good company, I go!
Also, living around the world for many years, I can make my significant other's world mine! Without excluding to make her feel my world as her - which is the solution I prefer!

Well if a person truly loves somebody they would rather live in that person's world rather then live with them.

Compromise is the only way to make a relationship work. But if I had to choose I would live in his, and bring my likes with me. You can take a man out of the country but you can't take the country out of a man............ahhhh yeah or something like that..........

A woman should join a man and come over into his world.
This will offend many, but consider, I have Freedom of Speech to say it:
"Congress shall make no law ...abridging the freedom of speech..."

Actually, I had to make that choice--live with my girlfriend (now wife) in NYC, or live without her in Florida, where I spent my whole life. It was soooooo hard to completely uproot myself and move to NYC, but it was worth it.
