there is no such thing as an average cost to fix a fuel pump on a car, it is entirely dependant upon the make, model and engine.

It makes a difference what part of the country you live in and also the kind of car you own.
I will go in the middle for pricing. $100.00 on the side of motor.
It could go as high as $400.00 if fuel pump is in the gas tank.
Like i stated above the region you live in has a lot to do with pricing.

About $150 if it's under the hood, $300 if it's in the gas tank.
