In the Japanese tradition, it is not the individual that matters, it is the movement or organization they created or helped create. So instead of people, the list of movers and shakers must contain names like Honda, Sony, Nissan, or Mitsubishi, as well as Zen, tea ceremony, Aikido and Soka Gakkai.
