It could have been worse. They could have called it "Lawyers and Ethics".

Problem is YA does not know what ethics are or they would have to really change the way they rule on community guidelines.

Basic of Public Sector Ethics

1. Public Interest - power and resource of public office used only to advance public interests, and not for personal benefit or partisan political advantage.
2. Objective Judgment - decide all matters on the merits, free from avoidable conflicts of interest and both real and apparent improper influences.
3.Accountability - assure that government is conducted openly, efficiently, equitably, and honorably.
4. Democratic Leadership - honor the principles and spirit of representative democracy by scrupulously observing the letter and spirit of laws and rules.
5. Respectability - safeguard public confidence in the integrity of government by being honest, fair, caring, and respectful and avoiding conduct creating g the appearance of impropriety or which is otherwise unfitting a public official.

I think both Law and Ethics exist. I do not think that in some cases they are both practical or do they coexist. There is just such corruption it is hard not to be cynical and be open minded.

I had the very same thought when I answered my first question under this category! When it comes to 'law', there is no 'ethic' - just a bunch of insane politicians and lawyers doing something stupid so they can make a bunch of bucks. -RKO- 06/20/07

Whole_truth: I was going to say that very same thing about Conservatives. Funny how a differing opinion can create such similar thinking. . .

LOL, by the way, for the "question".
